Elmer, So far AMD hasn't shipped a single unit nor demonstrated the ability to do so

AMD already sold [up to] 500 1U 2P development machines which are fully functional, with CPU´s running at launch speed (that would make it a thousand Opterons). Saying "not a single unit" is not quite correct, and to say "Opteron is unmanufacturable" also doesn´t seem quite right. Of course, I see your point, and I agree quite a few people are getting ahead of things here, but you do just the same thing, and it´s what makes these forward looking discussions interesting. It´s only one more month, and then we´ll see how the story goes.

So far AMD hasn't shipped a single unit nor demonstrated the ability to do so, but you already have them shipping volume.

No, Elmer, I didn't say they were shipping in volume now, but that they would be soon. As for not shipping a single unit, that's absurd. You know very well they've been selling evaluation units for a while now. Yes, those are evaluation units, but they're real processors. But time will tell who's right. While I agree with you that it's been substantially delayed(almost as badly as Itanium was/is), I think you're wrong re: the volume capability that's about to kick in.
