Paula I trade with Fidelity and if I get a verified canceled then I know it can't be hit but if it reads pending cancel it can be still alive and you can not stop it. steve
Wow... When I change or cancel an order they usually first show submitted for cancel, then in a bit they show cancelled.... I will be careful. I can see how it could happen.. Several times I have been trying to change an order and I get an error because it executed during y change, but not this...
ot, Paula, They have a big disclaimer on cancellations when you submit them and it says you have to get a confirmed "out" from them....I guess I have just been lucky with my changes/cancellations...I know if the stock is anywhere near your price and you make a change you are playing with fire. I am sure it works that way everywhere...Too many hands involved for changes/cancellations to be instantaneous IMO
