#64384 RE: HailMary #64379

If, if, if. What if the sky falls?

Let's be real. AMDs increase in market share can hardly be measured, some would say it's in the noise. It's certainly single digits. I wouldn't make that much noise about it.

Apparently, you are enamoured about this development. It tells me that you didn't expect any improvement on AMDs part and expected Intel to move into the mid 80's in MS. Sad.

The market is expanding rapidly. The next innovation is in web based services and platforms. People will be needing more computers, faster computers and web computers like never before. Have you noticed the increase in VC for internet based companies? Did you hear me when I stated that AMD anticipates 400M per year in 2009? Wonder if Intel's number is higher?

I repeat. Both AMD and Intel need more capacity. Who else will manufacture the other 200M? I can do the same math you guys do. By AMD's own numbers, and given only what we *know* Intel will double it's revenues by 2009. By that time there should be valuation expansion. PE of 30, $2.40 per share, do the math.
