I hear the same. And that the esophageal stenting is torture - better to just die.

On the good side, one of my friends (~65) that had stage 3 adenocarcenoma, inoperable, has done very well on chemo and radiation. Seems the cancer is gone. The radiation has shrunk the esophagus making eating harder but possible.

He was treated in St. Louis at Siteman Cancer center - it is building a very good reputation here in St. Louis.
