I agree with much of what you said but can't ignore this constant and predominant viewpoint. Don't point the finger somewhere else, at what management was unable to overcome. They (Stoll/Varney) had plenty of time to re-posture this company based on your acknowledged successes. By and large, it is not the FDA, nor was it the industry, that failed us: It was the lack of leadership.
If you are going to come clean, don't shove the real mess under the rug, it insults our intelligence. We've had enough of that from two sources: the apologist/advocate and the management.
Most of us may have gotten burned, but management supplied the match and Mr. Perspective struck it (and struck out). We were just foolish enough to sit and watch, and not get out of the line of fire.
