Thanks, Susie, for the marvelous insight into modern malfeasance. I'd have missed it if it weren't for the kind effort of a friend familiar with my Dairyman's League background.

My limited experience with "cow fitting" consisted of a twice-daily trip through the barn, removing unwanted matter from the teats by caressing them with a damp rag. The cows didn't object much. Their heads were firmly restrained by the stanchion ... but ... they WERE free to flick their tails around my cheek ... the soggy ones leaving a brown streak.

Ahhh, the thrills of by-gone days.
