IMS, i think this is what broadwing is all about, the so-called "next-next-generation" networks that would be asnap compatible are ims enabled, lucent is making an ims system for both cingular and sbc
ims is realy the missing link for companies like cingular since sbc is not cellular i guess it would not have the same impact (as on cingular)
bwng is already has these capibilities imo, its like the standard was developed to funnel more business to lucent and NT as if it was new but bwng has been doing this for over a year now

the thesis for ASNAP still holds, at the center controling IMS can be revenue sharing and seamless roaming--at least for cellular providers like cingular that is, interesting is the push for WIMAX, guess its best to be forward looking w/ the standard, looks like its pushing DSL which is not going to make the cable companies happy--more fights more wars but before the big shake-out seamless roaming w/ wifi, dsl or no dsl imo
