He has an economics background and it seems that he will always be driven towards profitabilty. He probably started this company because he was thinking bigger, with higher margins, and saw an opportunity in China.

The risk is really with the prawn farms. Can they get it to work? We take it for granted sometimes. But with his background I think they will succeed. And then, when I look at all the contracts, I don't see many things that scare me. Managing the stock, that's something else.

Emptyone--Did you read theBear's post over the weekend re. dilution? It suggests under the circumstances there is no choice but to dilute if the vertical integration of the company is to be achieved--which is what distinguishes SIAF from any other, old food company. It is costly in terms of share price right now but will ultimately be amazingly remunerative as the result of structures being put in place now.

Re emtyone, if you had any at all outlook at the chineese market and the agriculture progress and the green hype china is going through atm then you would have been able to make such a statement, SIAF are far from alone in this space everyone knows this will be huge and lots of chineese tries to cash in on the opportunity speed is of the essence their is no concelation prices in corporate environments, either you are one of the first and the biggest or you will never earn a place among the real winners so just complaining with a view based on one company seen from europe believing that SIAF are the first and the only company that sees the opportunity are rather naive imo.
They can´t afford to wait they have to develope quicker than most and be the best biggest with the best ditribution and sales.

You wanna have a look at the standards Solomon are pursuing 2 at bottom of the videos down.

So to have a view that there is an option based at pps are so dumb so it appears only uneducated to me. No pune intended.
