AF is a hachet man for theStreet. He owns a piece of that company according to what I have read. While he may not own any shares in companies he is reporting on he may own shares in a company which owns them etc. or a fund which is a client of theStreet. His disclaimers are tricky. My criteria is, why are these guys all of a sudden telling me news about a company that they are not invested in, why the altruism in a business that knows no altruism? The answer has to be greed on their part.

I once had dinner with a hedge fund manager and asked him if he had heard of a stock I was invested in. Not only had he heard but he had been taken out to dinner bya famous analyst who had recommended the company to him as a buy. That was on the Buy side, so we can expect the same on the Sell side. There is also nothing stopping an analyst to be bad mouthing a company to drive the price down so his clients can buy, wink, wink. We saw that possible scenario with AMLN, being badmouthed by Werber at Citi when it was $12 and then seeing it bought out at $31 by BMI and Astrazeneca not that long afterwards as these things go. Scepticism is called for all the time.

It may well be that the seat on the BoD was going to a Cotara partner who may have wanted to have the NSCLC air cleared before going ahead with Cotara so as not to be accused of dealing with a bunch of bumblers.

Time is on our side. I am looking for a PPS way in excess of a paltry $7.50 BTW.

I am USMA ring knocker. A USNA friend of mine went Nukes that is why I picked up on the ID. I have other Navy friends who are pilots, and one a Command Master Chief who recently died who was brown water in VN (wounded nine times). We are friends all but one day of the year, today. BEAT NAVY!!! But do tell your dad thank you for his service, same goes for you.
