The Court would stay the execution pending post-trial motions whether VRNG agreed to it or not, so they might as well agree to it. The Clerk's Judgment has been entered, and rubber stamped, by the Judge. Still a number of issues to be cleared up before the final judgment is entered, with more motions to come.
When you KNOW the judge is going to grant a motion like this, you're better off to just agree to it. I don't really think that it in any way reflects upon whether or not a settlement is pending. The value of the judgment is almost incalcualable in its present state to a full degree of certainty, so it's really not a surprise this was filed, and agreed to by VRNG. Not a biggie to me.
