Sergey Brin, one of Google's co-founders, is one stubborn Russian. The fact they made over or will make over $60 billion in net income with Lang's patents doesn't register. The mere fact they built their business and made their profits soar with the two patents "is just how we did it".
Most foreigners like Brin, the Chinese and Koreans have little regard for US patents, particularly those developed by small companies. Gates had the same attitude and built MSFT on the backs of a lot of small inventors. He's another stubborn type who runs losses of over $11 billion a year on his internet and consumer products divisions. If he wasn't the founder and didn't have a monoploly on desktop, he would have been cashiered a long time ago. Just think what MSFT's stock would be worth if they had another $10 billion in annual earnings.
