Alittle history on John Rochon

Mr. John P. Rochon is the Founder and the Chairman at Richmont Holdings. He has more than three decades of successful leadership in finance, marketing, sales, and operations. Mr. Rochon is also the Founder at Richmont International Inc. He is President of Rochon Capital Partners, Ltd. and a General Partner and the Chairman at Richmont Capital Partners. He also founded the firm. Mr. Rochon is also the Founder, a General Partner, and the Chairman at Richmont Capital Partners I. After spending the early part of his career working at Chesebrough-Ponds (Unilever) and Ecolab International, he joined Mary Kay Inc. in 1980. Mr. Rochon held several executive positions at Mary Kay Inc., including the Vice Chairman, the Chief Financial Officer, a Controller, and a Director of Manufacturing. He became the Vice Chairman in 1987 and the Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer in 1991. Mr. Rochon served as the Chief Executive Officer at Mary Kay Holding Corp. from 1991 until 2001. He has been the Chairman at the Richmont Corp., since 1990. Mr. Rochon is the Chairman and a Director at Richmont International Inc. He has been a Director at Marketing Specialists Corp., since August 8, 1999. Mr. Rochon has been the Chairman, a Director, and a controlling shareholder at Nu-Kote Holding Inc., since 1994 and a Director at Royal Appliance Manufacturing Co., since September 1995. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Richmont Marketing Specialists Inc. since 1997. Mr. Rochon served as a Director at RMSI 1997 until the closing of the Merger. He served as a Director at Marketing Specialists Sales Company's Board of Directors from 1996. Mr. Rochon established and heads the Rochon Family Foundation to assist victims of violence against women, particularly sexual assault. He is a Member of the School of Administration Advisory Board of the University of Texas at Dallas and is a past Trustee of the University of Scranton and serves on The President's International Alumni Council of the University of Toronto. Mr. Rochon holds a B.Sc. and an M.B.A. from the University of Toronto and has written and spoken extensively on topics relating to business strategy.
