Semi, I said "Compensation", not "Salary".
Think of the money that your company spends on you as an employee, including salary, bonuses, health and dental benefits, SPP, SOP, 401k matching, insurance, etc, etc. The number was just SWAG on my part.

Yeah, Yeah, Benefits..... Blah Blah Blah. If I went to the dentist as frequently as I should, and saw my doctor for regular check ups, I'd be using all those benefits. Honestly, I don't. And I've found that I can't spend my Medical, or Dental, or Insurance at the local supermarket. So yeah, I guess if you add ALL that up........... NOPE, still doesn't come up to $125,000.
DANG, I've got to speak to my boss. Can I use you for a reference???

As far as the rest of the post. I tend to agree more with your point of view, but as I tried to imply, IMO, you're banging your head against a "JM" Brick Wall. I've done it myself. See results of head banging experiment in previous post.
