1260 and 860 were developed seperately kinda...you know Intel with CE!, surely it can't be maintained here with different tool sets................


I agree, since 0.13u was developed for 200mm, and I'm guessing the intel yields are pretty much where they want them to be, then if I were intel building a cutting edge Fab, I wouldn't put 0.13u on it, but I would certainly put my cutting edge Process on it. I believe I read quite awhile back that intel had functional transistors on 0.09u on 300mm, so it seems to me that 0.13u can no longer be called intel's "cutting edge" process. It may not be a candidate for 300mm at all.
