will be interesting to see how the IPO plays out - first Archstone has some debt of its own to pay off - next Reits typically do not show large profits the eanrings are re-invested in properties and dividends are payed out to shareholders - there are special tax considerations for them - as far the after math of the IPO Lehmans may be able to take "some" of the intial cash generated by the IPO and pay off creditors in the POR but after that I cannot see Archstone functioning as a machine that will continue to produce funds for the creditors - like I said it will be interesting to see all this fall into place - now if "we" were to get shares in Archstone we would collect the dividends and have the option to sell -waiting
