I wonder if this gives them an advantage over other QD manufacturers processes. The patent closes with, "The cost of the synthesis is reduced by 200 times making it a favorable method for scaling up of the tetrapod production." AND to add insult to injury: "The quaternary ammonium compounds are biodegradable and safe thereby making this method green and environmental friendly."
