Have you played since the 1.03 patch came out? Fixed alot of issues people were complaining about.

Game does sound amazing at those settings. I do have 5.1 Dolby surround and usually play on servers where I get an average ping of 35-40 but I can only run it at 1280 x 1024 as that's as high as my LCD will display.
