RJ & Fellow Board Members-
I am embarrassed! My forecasting my own demise is having to be somewhat changed. I am now shown that I have a few more days. But I did have the most wonderful father/son time with my oldest son, John, this afternoon. He ended up fixing my supper--putting too much coffee in the cup--yet it was the best cup of coffee I ever had.
I want to thank you all for the very kind words you have spoken about me. I would like to make a few comments on them. You, RJ, state that "When God was handing out talents, it is obvious you chose wisdom." I would say it more like this. I did not make the choice, it was a total gift. But, the Lord was wise enough to know that I could not handle it well without getting puffed up with pride. So He has chosen to give me a lovely heavenly partner, who in loving me will help to keep me humble. I could not do it on my own. A woman's love can soften the hardness in a man, Her gentle love can start taking the wisdom given him, and start moving it from his mind, to his heart, until it becomes a part of him. That is why the marriage ceremoony states that the two become one flesh. And this is why, RJ, that I advise you that when FASC takes off, go buy that good wife of yours a new dress and take her out to dinner. I guarantee you the reward to you will be much greater than 500,000 shares of FASC!
There is a side of me that is much more "detailed oriented" than even TR. For example, I have the hymns selected for my funeral--In the Garden, My Tribute and for a little secular fun, Over The Rainbow--which describes heaven to people who want to start to believe.
Net-Man - I hope for your sake we can get you into a plane that zips past 200 miles an hour. But to be honest, where I'm going that will make you look like "turtle transportation".
Sambeaux - you are one of the few politicians I have really liked! How you and I ended up on this FASC Board is a miracle in itself!
Sunspotter - I once said some unkind words to you--very unkind. I ask your forgiveness. Stand honestly for what you believe. And, if you are wrong, as I think you are, don't forget that you may have to "eat crow". I do respect you, and consider you a friend.
All the others--no more forecasting on my passing. It is very close. And my spirit is warmed by your kind and generous words about me. We really have a wonderful board here--and it is good that each of you, in your own way, contributes to making it better.
It is close to "launch time". I refer to both myself and FASC. But I will defer to "The Man Upstairs" for setting the timing. Mine is still not very reliable. Waitedg or David.
