Of course it's ridiculous...The companies did NOT start in the same place. Simply from the standpoint of intial products and IP, Apple grew up making personal computers, at the very beginning of what was to be the biggest proliferation of technology the world has ever seen, and PC's were the driving force behind that. If EDIG made the same product, at the same time, you could perhaps compare the two companies. That's not the case, so any comparison is inappropriate IMO. Of course that's simply my opinion. Believe what you like.
