Manny, I wouldn't hold my breath on what might be a pipe dream. But I could be wrong.

The militant Palestinian groups are obviously out-muscled by the IDF. Palestinians do have a depressing and miserable existence in Israel. To say that the moderates will tire of the violence and put an end to terrorist acts, might not be realistic. To watch friends and family suffer (the innocents) would tend to intensify the hatred, and make even the moderates more militant. Or at least it's a possibility, my opinion.

We, in the US, are essentially bankrolling a conflict with no realistic resolution (again, my opinion), and that's something we need to think about. Given the political powers, on both sides, what is the solution - a realistic, workable solution?.....

Who said that??? Of course freedom fighters kill as well. And I am sorry to see ALL innocent civilians that die all around. Both Israelis and Palestinians. But for you to be so one sided and blame everything against the freedom fighters when butcher Sharon continues killing innocent Palestinians day after day after day like fish in a barrel, is hypocritical at best. Sharon DOES NOT WANT PEACE. That is a FACT! Palestinians are defending themselves and their land and their homes and their people. And they will do so by every means necessary against a butcher like Sharon and his methodical extermination of them. Sharon is a murdering butcher. He is holding the hand on everything. On military power, on settlements, on occupation, on killings, on destruction of property, on peace, you name it. If he really wanted peace he will get talking with the Palestinians and make it happen. Instead, that fascist butcher has added more ultra-right wing elements to his government who want the extermination of all Palestinians. Where is the peace in that???? I'm sorry but you are so blinded by your bias that you can not see that butcher SHARON IS THE PROBLEM. Sharon is personally responsible for every Palestinian and Israeli death as he controls all the cards. He can make it stop with peace and he does not. The Palestinians want peace. Sharon DOES NOT! Sharon is and will be personally responsible for every innocent Israeli death as long as he continues to kill innocent Palestinians like fish in a barrel, innocent people like the 8-year old Palestinian boy, the 33-year old Palestinian pregnant woman with the 9-month old unborn baby and the 85 year old shepherd. Sharon IS THE PROBLEM and he will be directly responsible for every response and every Israeli death that comes from his butchering.
