Yes, that's true. There are a bunch of lazy Americans taking advantage of it, but there are people out there that really need it as well. That's why I understand people that don't like Obama. It could go either way. I personally think it's worth it for those people that actually need it.
You have to remember that many americans want to work they just can not find jobs. We have to remember that many of the jobs that were lost in the downturn just are not coming back. Take these huge corporations that fired 10-20K employees they just overworked the employees they kept and over time figured out they could get by this way. You cant wonder why the employment rate is so high yet corporate profits the last few years have been through the roof. They have figured out they could do the same with less so they have no plans what so ever to hire many of those workers back. Its been like this with big business and small across the board. So to sit there and say people sit on their butts is not fair to the people that want to work. When you have kids and cant find a job your going to take what ever help you can find.
