Proposes adoption of an industry standard marking protocol to assure the authenticity of high-reliability electronics. The protocol is seen as a key ingredient in the industry's effort to control counterfeit electronic parts escapes.

apdn1mil, was able to find yesterdays link by google searching sae standardised dna marking. Not sure if anyone has posted this page yet, At first blush seems sae and apdn have been working together in some way well before nov 2011. http://www.dscc.dla.mil/programs/psmc/library.asp
