Raider that is correct, aluminum doesn't rust it CORRODES.
Steel rusts, and when steel and aluminum are joined together in an electrolytic environment (saltwater) ? All heck can and will break loose. Corrosion and rust preventative measures must be maintained.

Aluminum ships don't rust. They look good on the surface. Below the waterline, without anodes they eat away.
