That is curious, I did not know that. They are started from
rest at some point, when they are shut down for their once
a year maintenance, the shaft holding the turbine blades
just crashes? I thought they had trailer mounted units they
would tow or airlift to a remote drill site and fire it up. GE
has such units, my local gas company sells them.
