It is rather ridiculous!!! I hate being jerked around not knowing who is pulling the levers behind the curtain and which levers. All any of us can do is hang in - as I have been hanging in for 9 years on old stocks that will never do anything but R/S. I now have 1 - count it 1 share in a stock I used to own millions of. There should be a law.
