yes, I have experienced that as well, and it is no fun to see your investment go south bye 20%. YOU ARE absolutely correct about the board hype. None of us really whir a stock is headed, but if we do our dd correctly this can improve your advantage.
also knowing who is who can help you out, it is not a good idea to take a persons word, if you do not have a long standing re-pore, like i have with a very select few here. We are in no-way going to win all to time. A strong stomach,and some guts are what's required in penny land. And even your select few can get it wrong, we just never know how it will turn out, but i look at it like this, i have my big dollar stocks i am diversionary in my allocation of groups of stocks, so if we have a down day, i am not hurt to bad. penny's only represent 10% of my portfolio at any given time. Everyday i come to learn something from the board, i travel around looking for possible investment, reading the boards for ideas, and maybe i do dd on that possible stock. i always have a list of three or four i am working on. when i have some money to spend. Penny's are my hobbies like skiing and football used to be, but now i am old and retired. "GOOD LUCK TO ALL"
