I read that a while back. If I remember correctly, they injected the rats w/ GBM f98cells which are weakly immunogenic AND foreign. The radiation and antiPS treatment probably induced both the innate and adaptive immune response in the rats that allowed some to have a permanent immunity to the f98cells. Unfortunately, I strongly believe that in humans the bavi mainly works through the innate immune response and any adaptive immune response is not vigorous enough or inhibited by the tumor (which developed by the host and not by a foreign injection) which will need to be addressed to complement the bavi treatment. Also, your example of the diphteria serum treatment is more analogous to snake venom serum treatment. I don't mean any disrespect and I enjoy reading your posts and insights. Thanks, and GL
