FTM,

Bavi antibodies target exposed PS, and bind to flipped microparticles, a PS molecule? Correct?

Lets look at the cause and effect..

It is known that, as a cell dies, it loses the ability to maintain PS on the inside of the cell membrane, Correct?

PS flips to the exterior, where it is perceived by immune cells as a sign of a dying cell, Correct?

CAUSE:
We know that an over-abundance of dying cells causes immunosuppresion, leading to pathogenic proliferation such as Cancer, HIV etc.. Correct?

EFFECT:
Bavituximab tricks the immune system into recognizing "flipped" PS cells as foreign, or an invader? Thus manipulating the immune system into action. Therfore causing the immune system to respond, and while doing so becoming symptomatic, i;e (Fever, Chills etc.)

How is Bavituximab getting past this effect? 50 million years of human evolution wants to know? if one such believes in Darwin, anyway, and that's beyond the point.

Regards,
