The stock is in a holding pattern because of the pending news. If I refused to see the big picture I would sell also, the volume is down and the bid/ask discrepancy are indicatives of a trend reversal ... it ran out of steam and the only reason why it isn't going down is the pending news.
Now if I do look at the bigger picture ... I can explain it as the eye of the storm, investors are waiting for the news to hit before jumping on-board or running for safety.
Why would I sell right now?
Secure some profits and try to buy it on the cheap side ... but it's very risky, the stock is very volatile at the moment and it's still a great buy. If I sell I would run the risk of being left-out.
Maybe others are more courageous.
