Near the end of Apple’s livestream when the press was distracted by shiny new iPads, Twitter started to freak out about rumors of layoffs and possible studio closures at Zynga Austin, Boston and Chicago.

Joystiq wrote up a quick post on what little is known so far.
As horrible as layoffs are in general, the gross thing here is the timing, which does seem to have been carefully orchestrated to coincide with Apple’s event.
There was no mention of Zynga Dallas in this (at least not yet). That studio might be best known (at least under Zynga rule) for Castleville.
I’ll update if we learn more, or if Dallas is, in fact, affected.
