the pr wouldn't need to be about success. Just confirmation that p21 was expressed meaning p53 was activated. Not a success. Just a result. Confirmed activity. Such a pr would in no way be claiming anticancer effect. Just evidence of drug activity in humans.

They won't wait till "tumor shrink" or anywhere near that long.They know everyone is looking for early signs of activity.

Waiting too long will only cause investor jitters and rumors/bashers spreading lies and causing a panic in the wrong direction.
