Nice to know that the Mac Mini was also being sold; it's not dead, anyway. Plus, five systems sold, also five iPods were sold. That's a good ratio of systems getting sold. Would have thought more iPods than Macs, but that wasn't true in this store. And, the Nano was the only iPod getting sold...

Apple is doing much better with a younger demographic.

As much as I prefer to have uncompressed music on CD, I am wondering whether getting young users in the iTunes fold at $0.99/track from an early age won't set Apple up for long-term success as new buyers commit to Apple's format (and thus its players or licensees).

Apple actually benefits at the moment from the inconsistency in IP licensing rules across borders, as it creates a barrier to new market entrants that vendors other than Apple would have to amortize across many fewer sales. Does any label have distribution in as many countries as Apple does? This could be an interesting thing.

Oh, yeah: how much do you think Apple Corp. would cost, exactly ...?
