A bit like today`s situation on the message boards, all sorts of rumor and speculation and no substance. The defendants were customers like me of a bank. Was invited to join certain deals (by then bank director) who was a good friend of mine which included some of these characters one of whom I knew very well.Declined the opportunity in keeping with many other respectable business men in uk. Had a lot of business with bank unconnected with characters, in debt and equity partnership. All these deals concluded very successfully. When the shit hit the fan for them one of them and bank director asked me to help them avoid prosecution, refused. When they saw themselves going down tubes their lawyers suggested perhaps someone else was to blame. Used same legal firm as me and had done substantial real estate business with one of defendants all successful. Never had any social or commercial intercourse with hincliffe. Did no deals with him nor was he my friend. The whole affair was fully investigated and every customer of the bank including myself was looked at. Not a shred of forensic all hearsay. Incidentally I was not asked by the court to comment on these allegations described by the prosecution as ^fantastic`. Unlike today`s situation I knew one of the characters very well in fact for years before the problem arose for him. We are not friends today. Like today never bought or sold anything. Unlike today knew two of the individuals well before the affair came up. The speculation no doubt will run for years.
Incidentally I have known other businessmen some of whom have run foul of the law who have also been to jail, and others who have been knighted by the queen for their services to industry.
As far as bcit is concerned I am subject to the lawyers getting it together going to implement what was decided sometime ago. That will not change.

Tom, I know this is in the past, but could you shed a little light on this subject?
