The most promising time in ERHC's history was right before they drilled the JDZ. I had this EXACT discussion with Les Blair and he completely agreed. He was shocked at the failure of the JDZ to produce the expected quantities of oil despite all the 2D seismic and the 3D seismic and all the analysis. None of which we have in Chad or Kenya yet.
He thinks a good profit can still be made on ERHC and I agree. But to compare the sum of Kenya and Chad to the JDZ, especially at this very early juncture in the exploration process simply does not stand up at all. And it's not even close.
By the way, the seismic in Kenya to date is just about worthless. Very few lines. Very poor resolution. Not my words but van Mechelen's. I guess he isn't prone to hype and prefers to tell the truth.
