That could be part of a settlement with Google. Maybe that is one of the stipulations. Google settles with VRNG and VRNG releases Google's clients from liability?

The quoted Order was pursuant to a JOINT motion, so whatever the grounds for the motion, the good guys agreed to it and in fact may even have prepared the Order for the court's signing.

Right now we don't know what the background for the motion/Order was. Could be interesting; might be part of the original partial settlement with AOL; might involve further payment by AOL, etc., maybe not.
