I would intend to short bigger companies as you suggestd with the caveat that I would close the short position and buy the stocks long when the mkt turns. Should be worth a bundle. Of course the mkt could just move along in a trading range for another year or so. notice the lack of volatility in the mkt at this time. no big swings either way. i would look for a 300 point drop to signal something is amiss. Darn crap shoot going forward, joe
