So you average about 100k a year in short term cap gains, and after taxes you clear about 70k a year. You would think someone who's doing this for 17 year as you stated, would be an expert by now and not asking us the questions but providing us with some insight and answers.
You telling us you've amassed 1.7 million in 17 years are like telling us you have been with 50 women. You take that number and you divide it by 10

There is a great deal of irony in your post.
1. I am younger than you, just much less cynical/negative.
2. I retired before 31, with a real job prior to that.
3. The fact that you made money thru investing while I had a real job, in the past, has no bearing on this stock, the present or even reality at all, generally speaking.


And P.S.

As I sit here, all wet behind the ears, I do so comfortably with a little slice of equities myself. No need to compare boot sizes.
