Nonsense, point out the regulation that forbids it. As long as there are borrows you can sell short it is that simple. This is not rocket science.....

It has no effect on current short positions, as long as the margin is in place they can hold the shares until this is revoked. Oh and that would be a 100% payday for them if that happened.
