Rumor : iTunes for Windows Mobile 5.0 exists and will be soon launched by T-Mobile Europe

If this rumor would have been confirmed, then whole "Apple iPhone made by Motorola" - i.e. ROKR - would be easily thwarted ... by Windows Mobile devices sold by T-Mobile!

Apart from screen shots (that anyway can be faked) there are some other indications that this may be true!

Actually during IFA trade show in Berlin, Germany, the T-Mobile announced that since Christmas 2005 it will offer mobile music through iTunes together with very special (for iTunes) data download tariff.

If this story would get confirmed, this would be another big victory for Windows Mobile but also a revolutionary breakthrough for Apple meaning, that Apple would like not to be "everything for everybody" but instead concentrating on delivering iTunes player for various mobile phone platforms.

One problem could be limitation to 100 songs in Tunes for Windows Mobile. Such limitation exists in ROKR phone with iTunes, that is being made by Motorola, and it would be difficult to accept for Windows Mobile users, who these days usually have 1 or 2 GB SD memory cards in their devices and have no limits on number of music titles they can play...
