Paul Krugman is a genius. We should revamp our economy more along the lines of what Krugman has presented. Things would be MUCH better if we just increased spending to stimulate that demand. A few more Hoover Dams would get the country cracking again.
And then we can just default on our debt and recycle.
Krugman is really underrated as an economist--except for him winning the Nobel Prize. It is real competitive to win that. When our President won the Peace Prize, it took years of accomplishment to finally win.
Maybe in Obama's next term, Krugman could become Treasury Secretary?
i had yours on copy to post, then oh well .. so back to Paul for more optimism, i hoped .. viola! .. it "coulda been worse" under GOP austerity programs .. am thinking that's what he left unsaid ..
