If about half the size of the current smallest microtablet is considered a "minor improvement", then yes.

The example that comes to mind is:

A pill can be similar to another pill.

A microtablet can be similar to another microtablet.

But not all are the same.

Hondas and Ferraris are both cars. Are they the same in terms of performance? Obviously not.

I don't think anyone agrees with you. As noted in the patent this reduced previously unattainable size opens the doors to pharmaceutical opportunites previously thought to be unattinable.
