You don't like GWB's choice of Mier for the SC? I hear Karl Rove called many conserv, such as James Dobson, to calm their nerves. Dobson is only concerned with her pro-life stand. Cheney called into conserv talk shows such as Rush and Sean - both are mouthpieces for this admin and the RNC - to stem the tide of displeasure.
I don't understand the conserv's problem w/Mier - afterall, she contributed to Al Gore's campaign and also to Texan's Lloyd Bensen. Harry Reid said he's comfortable with this nomination.
In my car last night I came across someone named Michael Savage(sp?) on the radio - he sounded close to being apoplectic over this nomination. I don't know MS, but he seems like a big mouth conserv talk show guy, trying to compete with Rush/Sean.
Relax conserv right wingers, as the NYT put it today GWB doesn't want a fight and the Dems don't seem to have too much trouble w/Mier.
