starboy, board;
AMEP has a killer chart, is an oil/gas play in Barrett Shale territory, has a new big Ideco rig to start drilling on 7,000 acres and a strong following with many longs right now. Further anticipation is building. See the IHUB AMEP bb for more detail especially Greeneyedhawks meticulous posts.
It was a particular pleasure of mine to meet both Mr. and Mrs. Hawk and then I regretted very much we never made it to the festivities the night before the Big Party - er, Annual Meeting of BIPH. Rare event for me to be able to talk shop with another old cartographic scientist and a particularly bright and dedicated researcher at that.
Another fellow at the Big Party - er, Annual Meeting was a semi-retired Oklahoma oil and gas wildcatter who pretends to know little and knows a lot. Ol' Bub sent me a load of information on AMEP, including information from a trade paper.
Both men have somewhat divergent views on AMEP.
I made a windy introduction because I wanted to be as clear as I can possibly be that I have no intention of putting down either of these two gentlemen. I rather have the greatest respect for both and do not pretend to have the slightest knowledge of the subject. I have not tried in any way to follow up on the subject even if I thought I could somehow sort out the issues.
In short Ol' Bub says AMEP is a fraud with misleading terminology that would fool only those without knowledge of the business.
Whatever the case, AMEP has surely made a fortune for the Hawks and those who harkened to the message while Bub's one pick that I am aware of in his field of expertise, FXEN, has recently tanked while Bub has personally hit paydirt with a wildcatter.
Life is tough to figure at times. Good to watch where you step but it is most important to be lucky
Good fortune and good hunting to all.
BTW I am sticking with the "fraud" that brought both men and myself to the Big Party - er, Annual Meeting of BIPH though it hasn't been exactly a sparkling performer since. And so I have stepped in deeper. :-)
Best, Terry
