I don't care about a government's "self interest". War only enriches those who profit from it, everyone else loses. There is no justification for a government to conduct a war for it's own self interest unless of course it is strictly for self defense. Nazi Germany acted in it's own self interest... so what? Everyone lost. Perhaps you work for Halliburton.
First: America is not the only invader or killer of peoples, there was that 9/11 thingy and many smaller events before it that went ignored by Clinton making US weak in eyes of our enemies; yes, they declared war.
Second: Muslims kill more Muslims than anybody else.
Third: Please read the rules in iBox of this board and in the Sticky Notes at the top of the page. nobody here has the right to demand answers or reply.
Forth: Stupid Question - "I challenge you to name me 3 governments in the course of history that have been driven by anything but their own self-interest. "
Thus is the history of the world, no matter how you answer it, or the reason, it can classified as self-interest.
