Except for a few favorite items on the dim sum menu (all related to the steam dumpling category) I usually avoid chinese food because of its heavy emphasis on oil.
I once asked a friend who worked in a chinese restaurant why they use so much oil and her answer was that because of the high temperature setting, the wok has to be oiled heavily otherwise everything will be burned. On the other hand, steamed chinese fish dishes are the best in the world because I really like the spices and ingredients they use in the process.
Thai food imo is the tastiest and healthiest food of all Asian food I know except for Indian (which I also love) because of its vegetarian accent.

Factoid: In 1975 just 19% of Brazilian men and 29% of Brazilian women were overweight; in 2014 those figures are now 54% and 48% respectively.
