In May 2011, the Phototron was a guest star on the Martha Stewart Show along with Dr. Gene Giacomelli, professor of Agriculture and Bio systems Engineering at the University of Arizona. Dr. Giacomelli was invited on the show to discuss hydroponic gardening as he is an authority on the subject. He told Martha and her audience that the Phototron is like having a "lunar greenhouse for your home." He also remarked on how easy it is to use the Phototron anywhere and how you can use it all year round to grow full size fruits, veggies and herbs.
