Now would you expect any of us to try a new $300 skin product with no customer reviews or published data of its efficacy?

They should offer it at or below cost for a limited time so that people will be willing to try it without such high expectations. As it is, I can imagine that the complaints will be loud and clear saying it isn't worth the current price.
