Intel management still doesnt have a clue on how to create shareholder wealth.

http://www.isuppli.com/Semiconductor-Value-Chain/News/Pages/Intels-Semiconductor-Market-Share-Surges-to-More-Than-10-Year-High-in-2011.aspx

Fueled by strong sales growth in its core chip businesses—and boosted by a major acquisition—leading semiconductor supplier Intel Corp. in 2011 attained its highest annual market share in more than 10 years, according to the IHS iSuppli Competitive Landscape Tool from information and analytics provider IHS (NYSE: IHS).

Intel is one of the best managed companies in the semi sector
and the tech world. Apparently you blame them for not preventing
the current global economic slowdown.

Why Intel chooses to remain a "component supplier" is beyond me.

They make a standard phone now which makes your comment inaccurate. The benefits of this will become apparent as the years enfold and more carriers come on board and more compelling cpus get put into it. A foothold has been well and truly established on the ARM shore. The problem with this stock is perception not reality and reality will always win out in the end.

Joey,

Why Intel chooses to remain a "component supplier" is beyond me.

Because it's what Intel does best.

You remind me of the former CEOs of HPQ who thought they could transform the company into something it was never meant to be.

Trust me. They know how to sell at the system level. That ain't it.
