Bucks, there are some of us out here who look at opportunities like this and say why not.
You get a chance to be a big fish in a small pond.
Get a chance to build something that could be great.
You get to grow something the way you always wanted to.
You get to "influence" decisions as opposed to just executing them.
I have been there and done it. The best job I ever had was the one that had the least security, the most risk and the most reward. Why, because I wanted to compete and "prove" I could do it. I trained for a long time in many disciplines and felt my talent was underutilized. When the opportunbity knocked to "turn around" a large division of a company, I took it.
It was the challenge and the excitement of going to work everyday knowing there was a ton to do and a lot to fix. And also that failure put you out on the street.
So you don't fail. You stretch your abilities to the max and you work through the challenges.
I would do it again in a heartbeat.
