I remember a few years ago Jeffrey Immelt was a guest on CNBC's Squawk Box, and was interviewed by the late Marc Haines regarding
GE's dividend - was the dividend safe? Jeffrey Immelt looked into the camera and promised that GE's dividend was safe and wouldn't be cut. A short time after that interview segment the dividend was cut! Remember?
